As a Woman, we can be all too aware of our appearance, weight, shape, colour, likes and dis-likes, fit or un-fit. We can very quickly arrive at a destination of an all-encompassing awareness of who we are not and who we want to be that can either bring joy or pain. However, there is a different game plan to awareness that us as Christian Woman can adopt which in the long term can produce healthier results.

When we turn a self-awareness into awareness that Christ is in us, this very internal action removes all insecurity, it cleanses our very soul and mind and whispers in our hearts ‘when Christ is enough -you are enough’.

All ‘self’ effort can look impressive to the world, but when you recognise ‘Christ in you’ who echo’s his Word that says, ‘I can do all things through Christ’, the revelation dawns that we can do nothing without him and that the strength, endurance and patience for each task comes from heaven alone.

Charles Spurgeon says:
‘We shall never find comfort or assurance by looking within. But the Holy Spirit turns our eyes entirely away from self: he tells us that we are nothing, but that ‘Christ is all in all.’

The very breath of God holds you together, inside and out. He says that he wants to write himself onto the fleshy tablets of your heart, so that you will think like him, act like him, have the same opinions as him and have direct communication with him, and when this transformation takes place, the awareness of ‘self’ dissolves into the chasm of God’s love.

Let me encourage you to approach every area of life with an over-awareness of the work of Christ within you. The women of this world are desperate to find a place of internal security, internal acceptance and internal love for who God created them to be. Let’s be the ones who can lead the way.

Colossians 1:27 says that there is a greater mystery! The mystery is that Christ dwells within you which is the hope of glory – Hallelujah!
